Most ankle braces are ankle immobilizers and do not allow flexion and extension. Long term immobilization of a joint can cause frozen joint syndrome.

Our hinged ankle device provides medial, lateral support which prevents medial, lateral rollover while still allowing flexion and extension. This allows the patient to maintain a proper heel to toe walking motion, allowing our device to be used for acute or chronic ankle instability.
