The thumb spica is the most common wrist brace used, it is a wrist immobilizer. Our wrist device is different, it has a malleable frame which form fits to the patient’s anatomy and can control or allow range of motion. For carpal tunnel syndrome patients, we can control (limit) range of motion, taking pressure off the median nerve. For OA of the wrist patients, we can allow (increase) range of motion giving them greater use of their hands, improving their quality of life.
