Re-vert Thoracic System

For years, patients with debilitating back pain had no choice but to wear an uncomfortable brace for back pain relief. Most thoracic back braces are heavy, bulky, and can even cause painful skin irritations on a patient's chest. The Re-vert Thoracic system offers patients with compression fractures and other back problems a comfortable alternative.

Symptoms / Indications:

  • Compression fractures
  • Severe degenerative disc disease that causes kyphosis
  • Post-surgical stabilization
  • Chronic and acute strain with associated lumbar instability
  • Post-surgical kyphoplasty
  • Mechanical back pain
  • Scoliosis

Features and Benefits:

  • Non-surgical, non-invasive back pain relief
  • Non-pharmaceutical back pain relief without drugs
  • The Re-vert Thoracic System straps are used to achieve hyper-extension.
  • The Re-vert Thoracic System is simple to measure and fit patients of all ages.
  • The Patient no longer has to deal with uncomfortable hard sternal pads. Hyper-extension can be achieved by utilizing the unique strapping system. Raising or lowering the X strap stability pad will allow the patient to be placed in the desired hyper-extension position to achieve correct posture.
  • Skin breakdown is reduced.
  • The brace is easy to use for all patients and is light weight, providing consistent compression and back pain relief.
  • The Re-vert Thoracic System can be used post-operatively and the rigid back is head moldable in order to achieve a more custom fit if necessary.
  • The lining of the Re-vert Thoracic System is made of a moisture wicking material in order to provide a comfortable feel for the patient.
  • The ambulatory patient can begin a conservative exercise program, thus allowing the patient to strengthen the supportive muscular system, promoting independence and return to normal everyday activities.
  • Unique cutout reduces spinal pressure and provides for greater airflow.

Fitting Instructions:

  1. Lay the Re-vert Thoracic System on a flat surface. The inside lining of the brace should point upward.
  2. Attach the front abdominal support to one side of the wide elastic straps.
  3. Make sure that the shoulder straps crisscross and are held in place by the X-pad security strap.
  4. Connect back X straps with the front shoulder straps by using the Quick Connect Locking System and loosen the front straps.
  5. Slide arms through the shoulder straps. This is accomplished in the same manner as you would put on a coat.
  6. Grab the abdominal support and attach it to the opposite side elastic strap. Snug up elastic to desired support level.
  7. Tighten back X straps and trim off excess. The front Quick Connect Locking System should be on the front of the patient, within easy reach to disconnect the straps for quick removal of the brace. The X-pad security strap can be placed on the patient's back to achieve the desired hyperextension.
  8. Tighten front shoulder straps so that you are supported in an upright (spinal extension) manner and secure to front abdominal support.
